We have a 1969 John Deere 570A.

We keep it operating to take care of the road and clear and level fence lines for replacement of the new fence..

However the unit sits without being used for months at a time.. 

We started it to do some work a month ago and it would not move and the hydraulics didn’t work. 

We found the spline shaft from the engine disconnect clutch to the transfer gear box had striped the shaft and the inside of the gear smooth.. 

Of course no parts available used or new. 

So we found a machinist that repaired the gear and the shaft.

I put the bearings on after the repair.. 

Ready to install on Grader. 

Drove it from the field to the shop to finish putting it together.
